You must plan your content. We're past the days where businesses could get away with deciding to post a poorly designed graphic every other day and that work for your business. Your content must be thought out and beneficial to your overall business goals.

Planning your content can be as simple as sitting down at the beginning of each month and jotting down prompts that you're going to follow for your content or as intricate as planning the exact graphics/video, text and captions. Whatever works for you is great, but you MUST have some plan in place.

Repurposing your content is a great way to save yourself some time when creating your content. Now, don't repost the same graphics over and over, but find a way to reuse your information because odds are, your community didn't see it the first, second or even third time that you posted it. So take full advantage of the content you create and repurpose it into new content!

COMMUNITY

Community building will always serve you better than viral videos or thousands of followers. If your viral video is getting you new inquiries, PERFECT! If those thousands of followers are consistently engaged with your content, INCREDIBLE! But odds are, neither one of these is true. Taking the time to interact with your community, those in your industry and your idea clients is how you full establish yourself in your industry and become known as a community builder, not just a poster and ghoster.

Take feedback to heart. Everyone receives negative comments or feedback now and then and you should never allow this to make you quit what you're doing, but it can be beneficial to listen to this feedback and make adjustments to your socials and strategy as needed. We aren't talking about comments from social media trolls here, but comments from those within your community that genuinely want to help you out, are the people you need to listen to.
